Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, including feeding, cleaning, and medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure store cleanliness, pet safety, and respond to sick/injured pets.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets to boost sales.
Experience & Skills
No experience needed—pet passion required! Strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina for lifting 50lbs+, climbing, and animal handling. Thrive in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
