Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for live pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings/weekends/holidays, and hands-on pet interaction in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, small animals.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online pickups.
- Recommend merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety; respond to sick pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Bring strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals). Passion for pets is key in our moderate-noise, pet-filled workspace.
