Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Levittown, NY, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, cleanliness, and direct pet care responsibilities in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain store standards: face/fill products, stage merchandise, handle price changes/promotions.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick/injured pets with vet transport.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Ladder use, depth perception required.
