Role Overview

Our part-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and handling live animals in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and transport sick pets.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety.
• Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Collaborate across store areas, follow policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – just a pet-loving attitude! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, stay flexible, and handle physical tasks like standing, lifting, climbing, and working around pet hair/noise. Depth perception and composure in fast-paced settings are key.
