Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets to drive sales.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – we train you! Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing). Love for pets and customer focus are key.
