Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences while caring for live animals and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Located in Littleton, Colorado, this entry-level role offers flexible hours perfect for pet lovers seeking rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Keep the store spotless, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoption weekends.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while ensuring safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Respond swiftly to pet health issues, including vet transport, and assist across all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a love for pets! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, with schedule flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), standing, climbing, and working around animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environments.
