Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to pet parents in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pickup orders.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain sales floor standards.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure store safety, handle sick pets, and support all areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required, but pet passion helps! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Vision for depth perception essential.
