Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver exceptional experiences for pet parents and their companions. This entry-level role involves customer engagement, pet care, store maintenance, and sales support. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in our dynamic retail setting. Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and smooth checkouts.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Merchandise products, face shelves, recover stock, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety for associates/pets/customers, and respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet.
- Assist across store areas including services, following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, stand/walk extensively). Comfort with live animals, moderate noise, pet hair, and wet environments. Specific vision for depth perception needed.
