Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Manteca, CA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish), and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, reaching). Comfort with animals, moderate noise, and wet/hairy environments essential.
