Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Maple, Ontario store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role shares pet care duties, ensures cleanliness, and supports sales across in-store, phone, online pickup, and events. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, and seamless online order pickups.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
• Stock shelves, face products, recover sales floor, handle price changes, and promote merchandise/services/live pets.
• Maintain cleanliness/safety standards, respond to sick/injured pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Assist across store areas including services, following all policies for a safe environment.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is a plus! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stand/walk extensively, and handle live animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled setting. Climb ladders, stoop, and reach as needed. Flexible availability essential.
