Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Maplewood, MN, you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets, ensuring positive experiences while maintaining cleanliness and safety. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers starting their retail career.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events like adoptions.
- Maintain store safety and cleanliness; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Support all store areas, follow policies, and foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Passion for pets and flexibility are key.
