Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a real impact on pets' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, online, and at checkout.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote sales/events.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and immediate response to pet health issues.
- Assist across departments as needed, following all company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Exposure to animals, moderate noise, and wet areas is common.
