Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Martinsburg, WV, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and animal handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Deliver pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
- Support all store areas, follow policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina for standing, lifting, climbing, and pet exposure. Vision for depth perception essential.
