Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Martinsville, Indiana, you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets, ensuring positive experiences while maintaining store standards. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, and support price changes/promotions.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; handle sick pets and transport to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle 50+ lb lifts, climb ladders, and thrive in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions. Flexibility is essential.
