Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment; ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Lift up to 50 lbs, handle animals, and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina for standing, lifting, and pet handling in a lively environment.
