Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates in McHenry, IL, deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and keep our store sparkling. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order prep, and sales.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, habitat cleaning, medications, and vet transport if needed.
- Execute merchandising: stock products, face shelves, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
- Collaborate across departments, including services, while following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a love for pets! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, handle live animals, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise, pet hair, and physical demands like standing, climbing, and team lifting over 100 lbs.
