Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets, ensuring positive experiences while maintaining store standards. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online pickups.
- Promote events, recommend merchandise/services, and ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50lbs+, standing, ladder use). Thrive in moderate noise, wet/pet hair environments with live animals.
