Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences while maintaining pet safety and store standards. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers eager to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Keep the store spotless, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets; ensure safety by addressing sick/injured pets immediately.
- Flex across departments, follow policies, and contribute to our Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a passion for pets! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, with physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Flexibility is key.
