Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and their pets while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care. Work in a dynamic environment with live animals, supporting sales, services, and events.

Essential Physical Demands

Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in wet, noisy conditions with pet hair exposure. Reasonable accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online. Greet customers, prepare online orders, care for store pets (feeding, cleaning habitats, medications), maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, execute pricing, sell products/services/pets, promote events, ensure safety, and assist across store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – passion for pets is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina. Specific vision (depth perception) and animal handling common.
