Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Miami, FL store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming environment. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, perfect for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with hands-on pet interaction and customer service impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and visual standards through stocking, facing, recovery, and price changes.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace a fast-paced environment with live animals, moderate noise, and pet hair. Flexibility for variable shifts essential.
