Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Midland, Michigan store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and the chance to turn pet passion into a rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Drive sales by recommending products, services, live pets, and promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, facing/filling products, price changes.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues immediately.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet enthusiasm is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
