Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences while upholding our vision of pet safety, cleanliness, and outstanding service. Located in Midwest City, Oklahoma, this role involves hands-on pet care, sales, and store operations in a dynamic retail setting filled with live animals and happy customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to health issues.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and maintaining sales floor standards.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure a safe, clean environment for associates, pets, and customers while assisting across all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a love for pets! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, offer scheduling flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), and can lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, climbing, stooping, and working in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception and animal handling are key.
