Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Monaca, Pennsylvania, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain an exceptional shopping environment. This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work with birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals while driving sales and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, and events like adoptions.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Support all store areas including services as needed, following company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required, but pet enthusiasts thrive here. Must have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic retail environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
