Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Moorestown, NJ store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings/weekends/holidays, and hands-on experience in pet retail. Uphold our vision of exceptional pet parent experiences and store standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain total store cleanliness/safety.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, ensure safe environments, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, flexibility for varied shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet conditions). Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items required.
