Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Morrisville, NC, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility, weekly pay, and paths to advancement in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed meds.
- Execute merchandising: face/fill products, price changes, recover sales floor.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, customers; respond to sick pets and maintain cleanliness.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: lift 50lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk/climb, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
