Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun, pet-loving atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Handle online order pickups, merchandising, price changes, and store recovery.
- Promote products, services, events like adoptions, and ensure pet safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work around pets. Exposure to animals, moderate noise, and wet areas is common.
