Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in New London Connecticut you'll engage pet parents provide expert care for store pets and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible hours perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive positive pet parent experiences via in-person phone register and online order fulfillment
- Care for store-owned pets: feed water clean habitats (fish birds reptiles small animals) and administer vet-directed medications
- Stock shelves face products recover merchandise and support price changes/promotions
- Recommend merchandise services live pets and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment
- Maintain cleanliness ensure safety and respond immediately to sick/injured pets
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required but pet enthusiasts thrive here. Must have strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays ability to lift 50+ lbs (team lift 100+ lbs) and comfort with live animals moderate noise pet hair and wet environments. Stand walk climb and stoop frequently.
