Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences, maintaining cleanliness, and providing direct pet care. Based in New York, NY, this entry-level role suits animal lovers with flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise/services/events.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and immediate response to sick/injured pets.
- Assist across departments including services as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required, but pet enthusiasts thrive here. Must have strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Flexibility is key.
