Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences while upholding pet safety and store standards. This entry-level role involves customer engagement, pet care, merchandising, and more – perfect for animal lovers seeking flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage new inventory, and support pricing/promotions.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – we train you! Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing). Love pets? You'll thrive amid live animals and moderate noise.
