Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates in North Canton, Ohio, deliver exceptional pet parent experiences while maintaining store standards and providing direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to work across sales, services, and pet habitats.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new items, support price changes and promotions.
- Promote sales, events like adoptions and Treats enrollment, and ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, maintain cleanliness, and assist store-wide as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a pet-loving attitude! Must have strong communication, flexibility for variable shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception and animal handling comfort essential.
