Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in North Vancouver, BC, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision of pet care excellence. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care. Enjoy flexibility while contributing to a dynamic retail team passionate about pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
• Prepare online orders and ensure seamless pick-up experiences.
• Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, price changes, product recovery.
• Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; handle sick/injured pets promptly.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals). Thrive in moderate noise, wet environments with pet hair, and occasional high noise.
