Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Oakville, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events, and adoptions.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards, responding immediately to sick or injured pets.
• Support various store areas including services as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required, but pet enthusiasts thrive here. Must have strong communication skills, schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stand, climb, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
