As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Oceanside, California, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Recommend merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.

- Strong communication skills.
- Flexible availability: evenings, weekends, holidays.
- Composure under pressure.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50lbs frequently/team lift 100lbs+, handle animals, climb ladders, work in pet hair/wet environments with moderate-high noise.
