Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) deliver exceptional pet parent experiences while upholding store standards for cleanliness, pet safety, and sales. Based in Oklahoma City, OK, this entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer engagement, and merchandising in a dynamic retail setting with live animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain store cleanliness, face/fill products, stage new merchandise, and support pricing/promotions.
- Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, and exposure to animals, noise, wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
