Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Orange, CA store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling and hands-on pet experience while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, and support price changes/promotions.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required. We seek pet enthusiasts with strong communication skills, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, climbing ladders, and handling animals in a dynamic retail environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
