Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Orange Park, Florida, you'll deliver exceptional pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets—including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety by monitoring pets, transporting sick animals to vets, and upholding cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate across departments, recommend products/services, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle 50+ lb lifts, climb ladders, and thrive in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions. Flexibility and teamwork are essential.
