Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Orchard Park, NY, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and passion-driven work in a fun pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety; respond to sick pets by transporting to vet.
- Support all store areas, follow policies, and foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: lift 50lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk, handle animals in moderate noise/wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception essential; accommodations available.
