Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Oshawa, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain an exceptional store experience. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and pathways to advancement in a fun, dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover merchandise to standards.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Vision for depth perception and team lifting for heavier items needed.
