Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Oshawa store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, ideal for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and visual standards through merchandising, facing, filling, and recovery.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and support various store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace a dynamic environment with live animals and moderate noise. Flexibility and composure are essential.
