Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, handle pets in a moderate-noise store with pet hair and occasional wet areas. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online. Greet customers, prepare online orders, feed/water/clean pet habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.), stock shelves, face products, administer vet-directed meds, promote events like adoptions, ensure safety, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Bring strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and pet enthusiasm. Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and animal handling essential.
