Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Paragould, Arkansas, you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets while upholding PetSmart's vision. Responsibilities span customer service, pet care, store maintenance, and sales in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this entry-level role.

Essential Physical Demands

Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet conditions with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required; accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
• Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, and support pricing/promotions.
• Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is a plus! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and physical stamina. Thrive in fast-paced settings with live animals.
