Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Pasadena, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, uphold company values, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and a chance to do what you love in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Provide pet healthcare for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, support price changes, stock products, face/fill shelves, and ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Recommend/sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist across store areas, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—passion for pets is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to stand, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
