Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact on pets and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards through cleaning, merchandising, facing products, price changes, and recovery.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required. We seek passionate individuals with strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, handling animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Specific vision for depth perception needed.
