Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Peoria, Arizona, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role involves pet care, sales, merchandising, and ensuring a safe, clean environment while promoting services and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Deliver direct pet care: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, support price changes and promotions.
- Recommend and sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote adoption events, Treats enrollment, and charity drives.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk extensively, lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
