Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) at our Peterborough store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
• Recommend products, services, and live pets while assisting across all store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace a dynamic environment with live animals and moderate noise. Flexibility and composure are essential.
