Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Philadelphia, PA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent experience in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
- Prepare online orders and ensure smooth pick-up.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish).
- Maintain cleanliness, handle price changes, stock products, and recover sales floor.
- Recommend/sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions.
- Administer medications, ensure safety, respond to sick pets, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—passion for pets is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/climb, lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments.
