Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Phoenix, AZ, you'll deliver outstanding customer experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal enthusiasts eager to grow in pet retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online order fulfillment.
• Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, facing/filling products, price changes.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required, but pet lovers thrive here. Must have strong communication, flexibility in scheduling, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
