Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Pittsburg, California, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility, weekly pay, and opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and handle pet emergencies.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets to drive sales.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in noisy/wet environments). Depth perception and teamwork essential.
