Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Pittsburgh, PA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional experiences, and uphold our vision of pet safety and store excellence. Share in maintaining cleanliness, pet care, and sales while thriving in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and vet-directed medications.
• Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes/promotions.
• Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick/injured pets and maintain clean, safe store.

Experience & Skills

Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk/climb, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. No prior experience required—passion for pets is key.
