As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Plaistow, New Hampshire, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain an inviting store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding work with evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Drive sales by recommending merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
- Execute store operations: stock products, face shelves, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
